On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the School of Management (Walailak Business School – WBS) at Walailak University hosted a warm and friendly welcome event for the freshman class of 2026 (Freshmen ’69). Held during the Pre-Semester English Course, the initiative aimed to foster strong relationships among faculty members, senior students, and freshmen, wrapped in an atmosphere filled with smiles and warmth.
The event was vibrant and lively, featuring members of the executive team, faculty, and academic support staff from WBS who visited classrooms to engage closely with the freshmen. This gesture served as a traditional welcome to bless the new students and build their confidence as they took their very first steps into their new home at Walailak Business School.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimalaphat Pongsakranrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, stated that the school prioritizes student care, treating everyone like family. This is especially true during the Pre-English course, which is a crucial first step for university adjustment. Therefore, this event was intentionally organized to allow faculty and academic staff to support the freshmen closely, check on their well-being, and co-create a learning environment that is both relaxing and inspiring.

They also introduced various student benefits and academic support services to ensure the freshmen are fully prepared and happy throughout the 2026 academic year.
