School of Management, Walailak University Advances International Academic Collaboration

On 14 November 2025, the School of Management, Walailak University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oranong Chiableam, Deputy Dean, and Ms. Niramon Rawang-ngam, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, welcomed Dr. Siti Rahyla, Visiting Professor from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and accompanied her to pay a courtesy visit to Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. The visit aimed to extend greetings on her appointment as Visiting Professor and to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two institutions, including joint research, teaching activities, and student development initiatives. Following this, the School’s executives joined the event organized by the Center for International Affairs (CIA) to welcome Prof. Rumyyantseva Anna, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs from Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics, Russia, who visited Walailak University to explore institutional cooperation. In the afternoon, the Assistant Dean for International Affairs held an in-depth meeting with university executives from Saint Petersburg University to further discuss collaboration opportunities in research, teaching, inbound and outbound student mobility, and additional academic development programs. These discussions are expected to generate new opportunities for students of the School of Management to engage in meaningful international experiences. The School of Management extends its sincere appreciation to the Center for International Affairs (CIA) for their continuous support and effective coordination in advancing international partnerships and transforming collaborative initiatives into tangible outcomes for the university community.
