February 3, 2026 – The executive team of the School of Management (SOM), Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimlapat Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasite Rattanapan, Associate Dean, and Lecturer Niramol Rawang-ngam, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, met with Dr. Mongkol Theerananon, Vice President for University Relations and Development. The meeting took place at the Administration Building to discuss strategies for supporting international student affairs and enhancing the university’s Global World Ranking.
During the discussion, the SOM executive team explored strategic directions for international operations aimed at increasing global exposure for students. Key initiatives discussed included:
- Student Exchange Programs
- International Internship Opportunities
- Collaborative Academic Activities with partner universities worldwide.
On this occasion, the School of Management would like to express its sincere gratitude to Dr. Mongkol Theerananon for prioritizing and driving the school’s internationalization mission. This support includes budgetary allocations to ensure the efficiency of international projects, as well as strengthening coordination and expanding partnership networks both locally and abroad. These efforts serve as a vital foundation in empowering Walailak University management students to become true Global Citizens.
The outcomes of this meeting will lead to the development of more concrete projects within this fiscal year. These initiatives aim to enhance student competencies to meet international standards, aligning with the university’s vision of producing graduates with high global competitiveness.
