The Digital Marketing and Branding Program, School of Management, Walailak University, hosted “Walailak Marketing Day 2026” under the theme “Creative City: Local Wisdom, New Generation Branding.”

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum, Walailak University, the event was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation. Associate Professor Dr. Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, alongside executive committee members, faculty, staff, and students of the School of Management, attended the opening ceremony of “Walailak Marketing Day 2026.”

The atmosphere was vibrant and full of creativity driven by the collaboration between students and the local community. The event kicked off in the morning with registration and photo opportunities at various activity booths reflecting local identity, followed by a captivating opening performance by students from the Digital Marketing and Branding Program.

A major highlight of the event was a special keynote lecture titled “Digital Marketing and Eco-Brand Challenge for Local Products” by Mr. Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha, Chief Brand and Communication Officer at True Corporation Public Company Limited. This was followed by the “Social and Community Engagement: Final Project Pitching” project contest under the theme “Creative City,” and the “Young DMB Creative Challenge 2026” marketing plan competition, which provided a platform for the younger generation to showcase their potential in enhancing local wisdom.

Additionally, attendees enjoyed exhibitions and product booths featuring elevated, contemporary local products. These included the Chamadan tea brand, the Sustainable Wang Khri Community (waste management), the Khao Ok Khanom Dolphin Watching Group (eco-tourism), the Ban Wang Khri Community Enterprise (processed rubber leaf products), and the Sustainable Wang Khri Upland Rice Group (food products from local ingredients). These showcases reflected a true fusion of traditional wisdom with modern value creation to build sustainable opportunities.
