WBS and UPNVJ held discussions and signed an agreement to prepare for in-depth cooperation aimed at developing double degree programs and international academic programs.

December 11, 2025 – Dr. Jubaedah, SE., MM, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Indonesia, met with Asst.Prof.Dr. Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, Walailak University. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and sign an agreement regarding the preparation for academic cooperation between the two institutions, with a primary focus on developing Double Degree programs and expanding collaboration in teaching, research, and international capacity building for students and staff.
This signing and in-depth discussion represent a strategic move at the School level to establish a concrete operational framework and prepare for future academic projects. Both parties exchanged ideas and strategies across four key areas:
💡 1. Digital Marketing and Branding
• Collaborating on joint curriculum development to enhance future skills and meet digital industry demands.
• Promoting exchange programs for both students and academic staff.
• Co-designing short courses and Micro-Credentials.
🚚 2. Logistics Management
• Cooperating on instructional management aligned with ASEAN industrial requirements.
• Developing Double Degree programs in areas with mutual potential.
• Conducting joint research in innovation and supply chain management.
🌏 3. Tourism and Hotel Management
• Developing cooperation in sustainable tourism and the Net Zero Tourism concept.
• Organizing study tours, student exchanges, and Study Abroad programs.
• Promoting joint research initiatives between faculty members of both institutions.
👨‍🍳 4. Professional Culinary Arts
• Exchanging expert chefs and organizing joint workshops.
• Developing cross-cultural and culinary learning experiences.
• Conceptualizing joint Culinary Showcases for the future.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of the School of Management at Walailak University and the Faculty of Economics and Business at UPNVJ to elevate educational quality, internationalization, and regional learning opportunities. Both parties plan to push these initiatives into concrete action starting in 2025.
