School of Management Leads Thai-Uzbek Students to Krabi for an In-depth Study of the “Green Sustainability” Model at Aonang Princeville Villa Resort and Spa

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, students from the School of Management, Walailak University, joined forces with exchange students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), Uzbekistan, for an intensive study visit at Aonang Princeville Villa Resort and Spa. The group was honored to have Ms. Kusuma Kinglek, Managing Director, serve as the keynote speaker to share her extensive expertise and direct industry experience.

Ms. Kusuma shared insights from over 20 years in the tourism industry, emphasizing that Green Sustainability is far more than just a trend—it is the core of sustainable business operations. Key learning pillars for the students included:

  • Community Support: Integrating local potential into the hotel’s supply chain to empower the community.
  • Research to Business (R2B): Translating university research into practical business applications to enhance service standards and environmental quality.
  • GHA WellHotel Standards: Understanding the international accreditation from Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA), USA. This certification recognizes hotels that excel in hygiene, safety, and comprehensive wellness services, building global traveler confidence.

Beyond hotel management, the students immersed themselves in local culture through a Natural Tie-Dye Workshop led by the eco-brand “Jantra.” This activity featured a unique twist: students used patterns inspired by ancient cave wall art found in Krabi. This workshop

This study visit did more than just provide deep insights into sustainable business; it inspired both Thai and international students to integrate social and environmental responsibility into their future careers. Furthermore, it marks a significant step in strengthening international educational networks through the lens of Thailand’s world-class tourism industry.
