School of Management, Walailak University joins WRC 2026 to Drive Global Innovation and Sustainability
The School of Management, Walailak University actively participated in the prestigious Walailak Research Convention 2026 (WRC 2026). Held under the theme “Global Higher Education Synergy in Driving Carbon Neutrality and Sustainability,” the convention celebrated the 34th anniversary of the university’s foundation from March 25–28, 2026.
On March 26, 2026, the official opening ceremony took place at the Sapphire Room, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Panpermsak Aruni, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), who presided over the ceremony. Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered the welcoming remarks.
Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation and Head of the Digital Marketing and Branding Department at the School of Management, presented the convention’s objectives. He emphasized the importance of fostering international collaboration to address global challenges, particularly Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

- Global Academic Network: A gathering of leading researchers and keynote speakers from over 17 countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and Hong Kong.
- Multidisciplinary Excellence: More than 15 specialized tracks were featured, showcasing cutting-edge research in management, digital marketing, and green business innovation.
- The School of Management’s Role: Faculty members and researchers from the School of Management actively exchanged knowledge, highlighting sustainable branding and strategic management to elevate Thai research to international standards.
WRC 2026 marks a significant milestone in reinforcing Walailak University’s vision as a “World Class University,” dedicated to producing high-impact research that drives tangible positive change for both society and the environment.
