Unforgettable Memories! Walailak University’s School of Management Wraps Up “WBS Management Camp 2026,” Inspiring Next-Gen Business Leaders

The “WBS Management Camp 2026: Future Business Leader” has officially concluded, leaving behind impressions, smiles, and laughter! Designed as an immersive program, the camp provided Grade 12 (M.6) students from across Southern Thailand the opportunity to experience academic and student life as a “WBS student” at the School of Management, Walailak University. Guided by the challenging slogan “Try Before Choosing Your Real Future—The Future Starts Here,” the 2-day, 1-night event (July 18–19, 2026) was packed with fun, warmth, and inspiration.

DAY 1: Kickoff, Walailand Sightseeing, and Portfolio Secrets Revealed

On the morning of July 18, the atmosphere at the Bussarakam Conference Room (1st Floor, Natural History Museum) was buzzing with positive energy as campers registered. The official opening ceremony featured a warm welcome parade by executives, faculty members, and student staff. Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasit Rattanaphan, Associate Dean of the School of Management, delivered the reporting speech on the camp’s objectives. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimlapat Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered an exclusive address on empowering students as future business leaders.

The excitement continued with performances by the baton twirlers and cheerleader squad, followed by ice-breaking activities that quickly melted away initial shyness. Campers then joined the highly anticipated “Walailand Sightseeing Tour,” taking a scenic tram ride to explore the university campus.

After a delicious lunch at Academic Building 6, the afternoon session transitioned into an accessible academic workshop titled “Portfolio Clinic: Crafting a Winning Portfolio for WBS.” Held at Academic Building 6 (ST), faculty members and senior students shared essential tips and techniques, boosting campers’ confidence for their upcoming university applications.

The warmth continued into the evening. After checking in at Khum Sawat Hotel and enjoying dinner together, the campers gathered at Huataphan Meeting Room for a night filled with energy. Highlights included special performances by senior students representing four academic majors, surprise award presentations, and a cozy folk song performance to close out the first night under a growing sense of friendship.

DAY 2: Academic Deep-Dive, Alumni Stories, and a Touching Farewell

On July 19, campers kicked off the day in their WBS camp t-shirts. Following breakfast, participants split into major-specific breakout sessions, engaging in hands-on activities to gain a clear understanding of each field and discover which program best suits their aspirations.

In the afternoon, everyone gathered at the Pattarathammaporn Conference Room (9th Floor, Building B, Walailak University Hospital) for an exclusive talk titled “Management Alumni Stories.” Accomplished alumni from various industries shared their real-world career experiences and insights, helping campers visualize their future career paths more clearly.

The camp concluded with a heartfelt reflection session and farewell ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimlapat Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, presided over the traditional wrist-tying blessing ceremony (Puk Khor) to extend warm wishes to the campers, while also presenting certificates of participation and the “WBS Popular Vote” awards to outstanding campers.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasit Rattanaphan, Associate Dean, delivered the closing remarks, officially concluding the WBS Management Camp 2026. The event ended with a group photo session to capture cherished memories before students departed safely, confirming that experiencing life as a WBS student is a confident first step toward a bright future.
