Walailak Business School (WBS) Hosts “AACSB Standards Meeting” to Elevate Educational Quality Toward International Standards

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the School of Management, Walailak University (Walailak Business School: WBS) organized the “AACSB Standards Meeting for Quality Assurance” under the theme “Strengthening Our Commitment to Excellence. Together.” at Khao Luang Meeting Room, Co-operative Education Building, Walailak University.

 

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation at Walailak University, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered the official welcome address to all participants. Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimplaphas Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, expressed her gratitude to the speaker for sharing valuable insights, accreditation development guidelines, and inspiration with the faculty members.

 

This accreditation preparation meeting was honored by Prof. Dr. Vikas Kumar, Adjunct Professor of the School of Management and Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Portsmouth, UK—a university that has successfully achieved AACSB accreditation. Prof. Dr. Kumar delivered a keynote lecture and shared his perspectives to help drive educational quality assurance toward AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) international standards, fostering a collaborative atmosphere focused on striving for excellence.

The atmosphere throughout the event was warm, engaging, and dedicated, with faculty members and staff from the School of Management gathering to discuss and exchange ideas.

 

This meeting marks another milestone for the School of Management, Walailak University, reinforcing its commitment to advancing educational quality and quality assurance systems to meet global standards, while building confidence among students, society, and the international academic community.
